Pigmencé
Designing a Brand for Pigmencé
Branding, logo, brand guidelines, fonts, and typography

Project
One of my most special projects recently was creating the branding for Pigmencé, a Belgian company owned by my best friend, Celia. Celia is a talented décoratrice murale (mural decorator) who also customizes furniture and paints stunning frescos. She wanted a brand that reflected her personality—warm, creative, and sophisticated—with a unique twist.
The name Pigmencé is a creative play on words. In French, pigment refers to color pigments, while piment means pimento, adding a spicy touch. The “Ce” at the end represents Celia herself. This clever combination captures the essence of Celia’s artistic flair and bold personality.
Brand Package
To bring Pigmencé to life, I worked closely with Celia to create a branding package that felt personal and authentic.
Here's what I delivered:
-
Logo Design: A sophisticated logo that balances texture and elegance, reflecting Celia’s artistry.
-
Color Palette: Warm, earthy tones inspired by Celia’s Spanish and Italian roots. These colors are as inviting and vibrant as she is.
-
Font Pairing: Two matching fonts—one bold and expressive, the other subtle and elegant—for versatility across platforms.
-
Brand Guidelines: A detailed guide to ensure the logo, colors, and fonts are used consistently.
-
Instagram Feed Design: A visually cohesive Instagram layout showcasing her work and connecting with her audience.

The Design Journey
The design process took about 1.5 to 2 months. We explored textures resembling stone to emphasize the tactile nature of her work, while the warm color palette brought an inviting and Mediterranean feel.
Celia’s feedback—“It’s like you’re in my head!”—was the perfect confirmation that the brand truly reflected her vision.
Why It Was Special
This project was particularly meaningful to me because Celia is not just a client—she’s my best friend. Helping her build a brand that celebrates her creativity and heritage was incredibly rewarding.
